Nora + Drew // Grand Haven, Michigan

There are some couples that instantly make you feel like you've known them for years, and that is exactly how it felt with Drew and Nora. Spending the day celebrating these two at Camp Blodgett overlooking Lake Michigan was such a joy, and honestly, their wedding felt less like an event and more like one giant celebration with all of their favorite people.

Drew and Nora have been together for a long time, and one of the things that stood out most throughout the day was just how comfortable they are together. There is a confidence that comes from years of choosing one another, and you could see it in every interaction. Nothing felt forced. Nothing felt rushed. They simply enjoyed being together and soaking in every moment of the day they had spent so long anticipating.

What I loved most about their wedding was that it was intentionally designed around having fun. So often weddings can become focused on timelines, traditions, and logistics, but Drew and Nora wanted one thing above all else—they wanted their guests to have an incredible time. From lawn games and activities throughout the evening to a merch toss that had everyone laughing and cheering, there was never a dull moment. Temporary tattoos made appearances, friends packed the dance floor, and everywhere you looked people were smiling.

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is getting to witness what matters most to a couple. For some couples it is the details. For some it is the traditions. For Drew and Nora, it was clearly the people. Every decision they made reflected how much they care about the friends and family who have walked alongside them throughout their relationship. Their wedding wasn't just about celebrating a marriage—it was about celebrating a community of people who have supported them along the way.

Drew and Nora, thank you for trusting us to capture such an important day. We loved getting to celebrate alongside you, and we cannot wait to see where life takes you next. We know one thing for certain—wherever you're headed, there will probably be a concert, a couple of happy dogs, and a whole lot of fun involved.

Congratulations, friends.
