Holly + David // East Tawas, Michigan

When I first met Holly at Lake Life Cottages and we started talking about their wedding, I knew right away it was going to be a fun one. After meeting her and her cousin Lindsey, who would later stand beside her as maid of honor, it felt like we clicked instantly. They were easy to talk to, full of excitement, and just genuinely fun people to be around.

Holly and David chose to get married at the Beach Barn at Lake Life Cottages in East Tawas, our little beach town that has been special to Holly's family for years. It made perfect sense to celebrate somewhere that already held so many memories, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.

One thing I loved about their wedding was how personal it felt. Nothing was done just because it was "traditional." From their Taylor Swift-inspired reception entrance to Holly's dad serving as DJ all day, every part of the day reflected who they are and what they enjoy. Even the late-night Taco Bell fit the vibe perfectly.

Before the reception, we spent some time at Tawas Point State Park taking portraits by the lighthouse. It's one of my favorite spots in Northern Michigan, and Holly and David made my job easy. They were relaxed, trusted the process, and simply enjoyed being together.

The rest of the evening was exactly what a summer wedding on Lake Huron should be. Guests spent time by the water, played yard games, caught up with family, and celebrated on the dance floor late into the night. It was clear that family is incredibly important to both of them, and that made the entire day feel even more special.

Holly and David, thank you for inviting me to be part of such an incredible day. I loved getting to know you, your families, and your friends, and I’m so grateful I had the chance to document the beginning of this next chapter. Congratulations—I’m excited to see what the future holds for you both.
