A little about us.

We're Justin & Haylee.

Husband and wife, parents to three pretty incredible kids, and the faces behind Justin + Haylee Photography.

We're based in Northern Michigan, where we're raising our family, building a life we love, and doing our best to appreciate all the little things that make it so good.

Outside of photography, you'll usually find us in the middle of some sort of project. We love building, renovating, dreaming up what a space could become, and then figuring out how to make it happen. We love traveling, exploring new places, cooking good food, gathering around a table, and spending time with the people we love most. Our faith in Jesus is a huge part of who we are, and we're incredibly thankful for our church family and the community we've found here.

We love what we do, but more than that, we really love people.

After years of photographing weddings, one of our favorite parts of this job is still getting to know the families, friendships, and stories that make each celebration different. We love the beautiful details and thoughtfully planned moments, but just as much, we love the unexpected ones. The people laughing until they cry, the parents holding back tears, the grandparents on the dance floor, and all the little interactions that end up meaning so much more as the years go by.

We believe wedding photography should be beautiful, of course, but it should also be honest. Your photos should feel like you, your people, and the day you actually experienced. We want you to look back and remember not only how everything looked, but how it all felt.

Being invited into such an important day is something we never take lightly. We show up ready to work hard, pay attention, have fun, and make the experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. Somewhere along the way, our clients often start feeling a lot more like friends, and that's one of the things we love most about this business.

We've been fortunate to photograph weddings all over Michigan and beyond, from Detroit and Grosse Pointe to the shores of Lake Huron and some of Northern Michigan's most beautiful places. Every wedding is different, but the privilege of documenting these moments for people never gets old.
