Caitlin + Konnor // Grand Rapids, Michigan

When I think about Caitlin and Konnor I think about determination and dedication. While I have only known them a short time these two characteristics have really stood out to me during this short period of time. When I met them for the first time they were planning their dream wedding in the middle of a pandemic. I remember saying to Caitlin something along the lines of, “if you have to postpone…”. and she immediately said “Oh no, no matter what we are getting married on October 30th, for sure, we will not postpone”. Without a doubt they were married on October 30th, 2020.

As their best man and maid of honor gave speeches, and later as I chatted with their family and friends, it shown even more prevalent how dedicated and determined these two are, in education, their careers, their relationship with each other, and their relationships with the people around them. They are strong, steady, and consistent.

I truly believe that any couple that manages to get married in 2020 gets extra marriage street cred. It is not easy to plan a wedding right now and being able to make that happen means that you worked together to overcome something greatly difficult and have dedication to being together.

Their wedding day was originally be a traditional beautiful wedding and turned into a relaxed perfect small wedding with family and friends on private property. We snuck away to do the photos of the two of them with out family and bridal party, and even stopped for hot cocoa along the way. Their wedding day was beautiful, simple, memorable and a little chilly :). Congratulations Konnor and Caitlin, thank you for bringing me in and making me a part of your big day and your family.
