Rachel + Caine // Au Gres, Michigan

This past month, we had the joy of capturing Rachel and Caine’s beautiful fall wedding at The Rivermill in Au Gres, Michigan. From the perfect fall weather to an outdoor ceremony and a day filled with laughter, their wedding was such a wonderful celebration of two people surrounded by the family and friends they love.

Rachel and Caine were so much fun to work with, and that energy carried throughout the entire day. There was no shortage of laughter, genuine moments, and time spent enjoying the people who matter most. One of the things that made this wedding especially unique was the setting. The Rivermill is a gorgeous new wedding venue in Au Gres, Michigan, and it was such a lovely backdrop for Rachel and Caine’s fall wedding. With beautiful autumn weather on their side, they were able to exchange vows outdoors and enjoy the kind of fall wedding day Michigan does so well. What made the venue even more special was the connection between its owners and the couple. The owners were friends of Rachel and Caine and their family, which gave the entire day an extra-personal feel. It was evident that this celebration was about so much more than a beautiful venue. It was about bringing together a close-knit group of people who genuinely loved one another and wanted to celebrate together.

One of our favorite things about photographing weddings along Michigan’s Sunrise Side is having the beauty of the Great Lakes nearby. Rachel and Caine’s day included time at the beach for portraits, adding another beautiful setting to their wedding gallery. The shoreline offers such a lovely contrast to a venue like The Rivermill. Between the character of the venue and the natural beauty of the beach, their photos reflect the variety that makes getting married along Lake Huron so special.
