Kim + Andy // Kent City, Michigan

When I reflect on the most memorable moments and weddings of our photography career it is always the most laid back simple weddings that I remember the most. Last weekend we celebrated Kim and Andrew’s beautiful outdoor wedding in Kent City, Michigan. When I originally spoke with this couple about their big day they had a plan for a small intimate wedding at one venue, and as things shifted they decided to make some changes. They actually made 3 different changes with their venue and what they finally landed on was absolutely perfect for them.

They were married at a beautiful nature preserve just minutes away from their first home that they bought together. It was intimate, peaceful, and laid back, literally their dream wedding and ours as well. We loved getting to see them genuinely love every second of their day with their favorite people. During the reception Kim shared some intimate details about some major life challenges that they faced last year. The way that these two build each other up, love and support one another is so incredibly rare. It feels like they have lived decades of loving each other and over coming trials together and they are just getting started.

Kim and Andy, you are both so special to us. The way you love and support each other, and work as a team takes many a lifetime to figure out and you have it. Thank you for sharing your day with us. We loved every minute of it!
