Jacky + Jacob // East Tawas, Michigan
When I think about Jacky and Jacob and their wedding and our little friendship that has grown over the past year I get a little teary that their wedding is over. Every wedding has their moment that sticks with us, things about the couple that makes them unique to us in different ways but with this sweet family two different things come to mind.
Jacob is a dad to the sweetest little girl Stella, who is the same age as I was when my parents married both of my step parents, I had the white dress, I walked down the aisle, an they were two of the best days of my life. Reliving those moments and capturing Stella by these two parents who love her so much was so incredibly special and profound. Jacky loves that girl with her entire self, I can honestly say that seeing her with her new stepdaughter, you can see that she was born to be in her life and as you scroll to the bottom of this post I have the proof. Capturing the moments of the three of them were my favorite photos of the day hands down.
The second thing that comes to mind has to do with a special guest that attended the wedding. When Jacky was a teen she had a near death drowning experience with a friend in our lake right where she was married, the man who found them and pulled them out of the water with his family was in attendance at the wedding. Her story is amazing and miraculous how they both survived, however thats the moment that sticks with me. I walked out to the patio where she was talking with some friends and explained who this sweet man was and her story and heard her say, “this is why I believe in God”. The way she told her miraculous story was something I will never forget.
Jacky and Jacob, I have adored y’all from the start. Your sweet family and your amazing fun chemistry has been a blessing to watch and capture. I cannot wait to see what your years ahead look like. Congratulations to the sweetest family.
